We wish Year 12 Social Justice Leader, Lily G all the best as she prepares to perform at the Top Class Drama and Theatre Studies showcase tomorrow. The 91pron community recently had the privilege of a sneak preview of Lily’s performance, compered by our 2025 Drama Captain, Phoebe W.
Reflecting on her piece, Lily shared: "I chose a tiny wooden children’s chair as a prop to symbolise Mulga Bill’s playful nature and the nostalgia tied to the original poem. Our Drama class was always advised against using a basic chair as a prop as it can be limiting. However, my teacher, Ms Siapantas found this chair on hard rubbish and as I experimented with it, I discovered it was both highly symbolic and easy to work with. While Mulga Bill’s character is quirky and exaggerated, the tiny chair contrasts with his wild exterior, highlighting the childlike innocence within him, and within all of us."
We cannot wait to see Lily take the stage, congratulations and good luck!
