Our Year 7 History students have been creating and investigating ‘archaeological dig boxes’ in small containers, containing layers of natural material (such as dirt, sand, stones or tanbark) and numerous 'artefacts' (such as paper clips, buttons or coins). A fruitful session was had by all, learning about the critical roles that historians and archaeologists play to impact the world we live in today.
